This month, we’re highlighting the perks exclusively available to IU business travelers flying with Delta Airlines, plus Delta’s new Digital ID check-in option, new routes and tools available for international air travel, and more.
IU contracted perks with Delta
Next time you travel for IU business, consider booking a Delta flight in Egencia. Not only will you leverage IU’s discounted rates, but you’ll also receive IU’s corporate travel perks to get the best possible travel experience.
IU’s contracted perks with Delta include:
- Choose Your Seat: Use the Fly Delta app after ticketing to choose from available Main Cabin aisle and window seats.
- Priority Boarding: Receive enhanced boarding, ensuring that you get on your flight sooner.
- Denied Boarding Prioritization and Priority Rebooking: If every confirmed passenger cannot be accommodated on a flight, IU travelers receive boarding priority. If Delta cannot accommodate every ticketed passenger on a flight, IU travelers take priority over non-IU travelers of comparable status when rebooking flights.
Make your experience even more rewarding by creating a Delta SkyMiles account and entering your SkyMiles number in Egencia to earn miles that can be used towards upgrades or leisure travel.
Delta makes air travel a breeze
New route from ATL to Seoul
Delta is providing greater U.S. connectivity to Asia with a second nonstop service from Atlanta to Incheon-Seoul. The new service complements the daily Delta flight and Korean Air daily nonstop service, offering three nonstop departures from Seoul to Atlanta.
New: Boarding zones
Delta is now boarding by numbered zones to help simplify the process and align with how partner airlines board. There is no change in the order in which SkyMiles Medallion Members, Corporate Travelers, or premium cabins board. The only change is the name (for example, main cabin 1 is now zone 5).
Delta Digital ID
Delta is adopting a check-in option that will speed up your process at a few major US cities. Delta Digital ID is pilot testing in the following airports: Atlanta (ATL), Detroit (DTW), Los Angeles (LAX) and New York (LGA and JFK). This new option uses facial recognition and TSA Pre-Check in place of showing a government issued ID to an agent. Those who opt in and qualify can use dedicated bag drop areas and TSA Pre-Check security lines allowing you to breeze through without having to take out your phone or wallet. Delta FlyReady tool for visa/passport requirements
Delta’s FlyReady dashboard helps travelers verify they have met their destination’s visa/passport entry requirements, prior to traveling. This digital tool displays outbound and inbound requirements at the same time, immediately after booking.
