Travel Partner Spotlight: Getting on Southwest's A-List just got easier

Through our partnership with Southwest Airlines, IU travelers have been selected to enjoy A-List Status for 3 months with the opportunity to earn it for 12 months!

You must enroll in the A-List Tier Experience by July 31, 2024 to qualify for this promotion.

Benefits of A-List Status include:

  1. Priority Boarding (see below)
  2. 25% earning bonus on qualifying flights
  3. Free same-day standby
  4. Priority and Express Lane access
  5. Dedicated A-List Member phone line

To receive your complimentary A-List Status for future bookings, visit IU's Southwest Business site to sign up for “A-List Tier Experience.” From the date of your enrollment, you will have 90 days to fly 3 round trips (or 6 one-ways) to qualify and extend your A-List Status for the next 12 months. All you need to provide is your first and last name, IU email address, and Rapid Rewards number.

A table lists the SW Airlines boarding group order. A-List status is highlighted at the top of the list.

This time-saving perk will have you out of the terminal and kicking back in your seat before other travelers. Southwest boards passengers in three main groups; A, B, and C, with passengers lined up in numerical order by their boarding position. Travelers with A-list Status get in ahead of the crowd so you can spend less time waiting to be called and more time relaxing before takeoff.

Don’t have Rapid Rewards? Create a Rapid Rewards account with Southwest. If you are not enrolled in Rapid Rewards, you cannot receive A-List status.
