BUY.IU System & Support Form Updates April 2022

BUY.IU System Update

An improvement has been made to the sticker label of punchout catalog suppliers so that users can easily identify those that are diverse. The name label below the sticker has been removed and a *Diverse indicator added when applicable. Suppliers marked *Diverse meet one or more diversity classifications, meaning they are a minority, woman, or veteran owned business.

Going forward, identify the full supplier name by moving your cursor over the sticker logo. After a moment, the supplier’s full name will display.

Support Form Updates

P-Card or Meeting Card

A new option has been added to the P-Card or Meeting Card section of the Support Form. Starting today, MTurk, Prolific, or CloudResearch approval requests should be submitted through the form. These suppliers provide online recruitment for research studies. Be prepared to answer the following questions when submitting your request:

  • Amount requested
  • Will there be critical or sensitive data transmitted (e.g. Student Records, Credit Card numbers, Protected Health Information)?
  • Is work funded by a federal grant account?
    • If yes, be prepared to attach approval from Jim Becker (ORA).
  • Funding account number
  • IRB study approval number

The Card Services team will review your request and reply with their decision.

Additionally, several P-Card or Meeting Card options have been renamed and fields added or removed. This helps ensure your form submission contains the information the Card Services team needs to research and answer your question. Another bonus: fewer back and forth emails!

Year-End

On April 1, requisition entry for Fiscal Year 23 began. The Support Form has been updated with a special Year-End category to address questions about year-end processes. Here you’ll find reminders about order entry, invoice submission, and PO release.
