Angus joined the Financial Training & Communications team as a Training and Communications Specialist in 2022. Prior to joining the team, he worked as the Accounting Associate at the Department of Folklore & Ethnomusicology, gaining practical, hands-on experience with IU’s systems and policies. He now puts this hands on experience to work developing documentation and training materials to help all IU users navigate those same systems and policies. Both in his work life and outside of it, Angus has always had a passion for educating and is excited to have the opportunity to put these existing skills to good use and to expand his abilities.
When he’s not at work Angus enjoys art and adventure. He plays two kinds of bagpipes, writes fiction, sketches, and likes to listen to live music, read, and see others’ art. When he has the time he enjoys hiking and camping, and when the season is right, gardening. Most of the time though, he can be found cooking and hanging out with his wife Emily and two cats, Luna and Oberon.
